Elpis Chow (b. 1996) is an emerging local artist from Hong Kong, whose work focuses mainly on painting. Chow graduated from HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity in 2017. She is adept at observing and depicting the ordinary, inconspicuous corners and spaces in the city that are often overlooked by hurried pedestrians, such as street corners, buildings, construction sites, housing estate corridors, and slopes. By reproducing the rhythmic structures and overlapping colours found within buildings, Chow presents an alternative version of reality in the space depicted on the canvas.
