Artist / Steven Tang
Steven Tang (b. 1999) is a self-taught artist who was born and raised in Hong Kong. After completing his university studies, he founded his own art studio, the Steven Tang Art Studio. His artwork was exhibited at the 2023 Art Central, where it was completely sold out. Tang was also invited to visit the renowned Swiss pen manufacturer, Caran d'Ache.
Despite having no formal art training, Tang's passion for art has allowed him to develop his skills through self-study. He primarily uses wood colours, pastels, and oil paints to create local realistic paintings that are both artistic and lifelike, leaving a lasting impression on viewers. Tang's food paintings, which are characterised by delicate and highly realistic brushstrokes, have gained a following and are widely collected due to their unique local flavour.
Particularly in Hong Kong locally, his work has garnered widespread attention and become a favourite of many art enthusiasts and collectors.
