Undercurrent
2026.05.12-2026.05.30
This work begins with a solitary landscape. By restructuring, repeating, accumulating and varying linear forms, it unveils the inner undercurrent hidden beneath superficial calm.
The landscape acts as a mirror, projecting the inner conflict and existential struggle of the individual. It constructs a spiritual domain where inner agitation intertwines and converses with real-life circumstances.
Poem: Undercurrent
A mild, luminous afternoon without ripple or stir.
Air thick and humid, not a breath of wind.
The world sinks into unnatural stillness; all creation holds its breath,
gathering tension quietly in every crevice.
An undercurrent constricts the chest,
coiling like tangled lines, tugging like frayed threads,
amassing silently into weighty stone.
I yearn to flee through the fissures,
sever the entangled lines for ultimate release.
The outburst drifts like rain, blossoms like bloom,
restoring all to the quiet horizon of the sea.
